Troop 716's first campout of the year was at Camp Alto in Frazier Park -- 8,000 feet above sea level.  And it was COLD!  Five cooking merit badge scouts prepared gourmet meals for the entire crew -- orange chicken, sliders, chicken pot pie, and foil nachos were among the treats that we enjoyed.  Scouts worked on advancements, particularly knots and fire building.  It was a relaxing time away from the summer heat.
